A Simple SIBO Meal Plan
Most meal plans hand you a new recipe for every single meal — 28 days of novelty that sounds appealing until you're the one grocery shopping, prepping, and cleaning up after it. Our approach is the opposite. It's built on a single repeatable formula

The 4-Week SIBO Meal Plan: A Simpler Way to Eat While You Heal
If you're managing SIBO, "what should I eat today?" can turn into the most exhausting question of your day. Between low-FODMAP lists, ingredient labels, and the fear of triggering a flare, meal planning starts to feel like its own full-time job. So we built something different: a free 4-week SIBO meal plan designed to make eating simple again, not more complicated.

A Method, Not a Menu
Most meal plans hand you a new recipe for every single meal — 28 days of novelty that sounds appealing until you're the one grocery shopping, prepping, and cleaning up after it. Our approach is the opposite. It's built on a single repeatable formula:
Base + Protein (or a veg-forward swap) + Garnish.
Pick a low-FODMAP base like rice, quinoa, or potato. Add a protein — eggs, chicken, fish, tofu, whatever you have on hand. Finish with a garnish: olive oil, fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon, some walnuts. That's it. That's the whole system.
We call it build-a-bowl, and it's the backbone of the entire plan. The same handful of trusted ingredients, mixed into new combinations, all month long — not because variety doesn't matter, but because consistency is what actually helps digestion stay calm while you're troubleshooting SIBO.
Why Consistency Matters More Than Variety Right Now
Here's the thing nobody tells you about managing SIBO: if your diet changes every single day, it's almost impossible to figure out what's actually causing a symptom. A steady baseline of familiar, low-FODMAP foods does two things at once — it gives your gut a predictable rhythm, and it gives you a stable foundation to test new foods against, one at a time.
That's why this SIBO meal plan includes a built-in 4-week trial schedule. Weeks 1 sets your baseline. Weeks 2 through 4 each introduce one optional, small trial — a cup of ginger tea, a diluted taste of apple cider vinegar, a spoonful of sauerkraut — so you can learn what your body actually tolerates, instead of guessing.
What's Actually Inside
The full plan is printable PDF, and it includes:
- The build-a-bowl formula, broken into base, protein, and garnish categories pulled straight from our SIBO Diet Food List
- Two full weekly rotations (Set A and Set B) you can alternate between or mix and match
- Breakfast and snack formulas, plus batch-prep tips to cut down on daily decision-making
- A primer on meal spacing and intermittent fasting — what the Migrating Motor Complex is, what the evidence actually shows, and how to try it safely
- A ritual for warm, digestion-soothing tea (our go-to blend: ginger, fennel, coriander, and cumin)
- A 4-week symptom and food tracker, so you can build a food list that's actually based on your own body, not someone else's BOLD
The whole thing is low-FODMAP and gluten-free by design — and important to say clearly: this is a maintenance plan for everyday eating, not a kill-phase protocol. If you're currently in active treatment or taking antibiotics or antimicrobials, follow your provider's specific guidance; this plan is here for the stretch on either side of that.
Food Shouldn't Feel Like a Test You Can Fail
The goal of this plan isn't perfection — it's a calm, predictable way of eating that frees up your energy for the rest of your healing, and gives you a real, structured way to figure out your own triggers over time. Some trials will work for you. Some won't. Both outcomes are useful information, not failure.
